Etomite is licensed under the GNU licensing scheme. This means that it is free to download and use. There are no banners included.

Please note that this is the only support method provided at present.

Webserver & Database Requirements

Etomite runs on most PHP enabled web servers - it has been successfully installed on Apache (preferred) and IIS, and requires access to a mySQL database (Non-NT) for storage. We recommend using the latest versions of these software packages for optimum security and performance. Minimum supported PHP version is 4.1.0.

The manager runs equally well in Internet Explorer and the Mozilla browsers, on Windows, Linux and some Apple computers. The manager may work perfectly in other browsers, but these have not been extensively tested. The sites hosted in Etomite will run in any browser on any platform, limited only by the creativeness and skill of the developer.

Search Engine Compatibility

Etomite has been tested for compatibility with the major search engines and has been found to produce excellent results, with no loss of rankings reported as a result of Etomite.

3rd Party Integration

Whilst no direct integration is included within Etomite, by using the flexible Snippet system, functionality can be included with just about anything.

For example, we have successfully integrated Etomite with Coppermine Image Gallery and Invision Powerboard, hooking to the Member database from both, and more.
